NUSA LEMBONGAN AND NUSA PENIDA GUIDE

I am breaking the winter themed posts with the second and also the last part of Bali posts. Nusa Lembongan, Cenigan and Penida were very high on my wish list, and these beautiful islands exceeded my expectations. We were accommodated on Nusa Lembongan for 3 nights, and it was almost enough time to see everything. If i could change it I would take an extra day for Nusa Penida and spend one night there. We came here with boat from Gili Air, and apparently this line is not so popular so it was quite expensive. It’s much easier to get here from Bali directly. We decided to stay on Nusa Lembongan because it had nicer accommodations on Booking and it turned out to be a good choice. Nusa Lembongan and Cenigan are connected with Yellow bridge so we needed one day to drive around those two and it was enough time to see everything we wanted to.

NUSA LEMBONGAN & CENIGAN

Top things to see:

♥ Mangrowe forest

♥ Blue Lagoon

♥ Devil’s tears

♥ Swim on Dream beach

♥ Stop at Seabreeze Cafe Cenigan and take a swing

MY CURRENT FAVOURITE PLACE ON EARTH- NUSA PENIDA

If you ask me, Nusa Penida is a true paradise. The island is not yes overflown with massive tourism, and it offers some of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. We only had one day to explore it, and I wish we stayed there a little longer.  It only takes a 20 minute boat trip from Nusa Lembongan, and you just have to ask around for the boat, or see if your hotel can arrange a trip for you.  Unfortunately for us on that day we got soaked by rain a few times, but it was still one of the best days on this trip.

Top things we did:

♥ Visit Kelingking beach for the best view ever

♥ Broken beach

♥ Angel’s billabong

♥ Crystal bay

Things that stayed on my wish list for the next time:

♥ Snorkeling with mantas

♥ Atuh beach

♥ Seganing waterfall

ARE YOU READY FOR A CRAZY RIDE?

Most of our Bali trip we drove with scooters, as I think this is the best way to get around. I was warned that roads on Nusa Penida are crazy, and that If I don’t feel really confident on scooter it’s better that we hire a driver for a day. Luckily I am a good scooter driver, since It’s also my favourite way of transport during the summer at home. When we first started driving we drove on really good roads that looked like new, so we were a bit confused about all those warnings. Well, the roads were really good until they weren’t…  Rain, slippery parts, big holes, dirt and big stones were the reason for craziest ride of our life. It was a really fun adventure for us, but I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone. It looks like they are trying to fix the roads, so you may not experience the same things, but don’t say that I didn’t warn you. 😜

Did you already visit these Islands? Do you have them on wish list? Let me know in comments!

Love,
S
